Teaching Students to Walk in the Spirit

Weekly chapel programming is one of the ways we seek to equip and train our students to
grow in their relationship with Jesus. Last year, the middle and high school theme was “Taste
& See,” taken from Psalm 34:8. The heart behind the theme was to instill a hunger for God’s
word in each individual.

Even though students have Bible class everyday and also have biblically centered instruction,
that is not a replacement for personal relationship with the Lord. Only by “tasting” of His
Word can we “see” that He is good.

This year’s theme, “Walk in the Spirit” (taken from Galatians 5:25), encourages us to evaluate
the fruit we bear as we follow Jesus. Each day, we must choose to serve Self or the Spirit of
God. Throughout this year’s chapel programming, our focus will be to teach students to listen
to the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow Him in all aspects of life: words, deeds, relationships,
etc.

As we enter the 2024-25 school year I ask you to pray for our students and staff as we pursue
another year of spiritual and academic growth.
