Senior Trey Robinson was recognized as the Student of the Month for January. Check out his interview below.
Congratulations, Trey! We enjoyed hearing a little bit about your journey at MCCS and all that God is doing in your life.
What are your plans after graduation?
“I’m still exploring my options, and my options are the ROTC program, the physical education program, and trades – to go into the workforce after school.”
What sports, clubs, or activities have you been involved in? Any awards or special recognitions?
“This year, I’m the student council president, I’m a service project coordinator with National Honor Society, and I’m on praise team.”
How have the teachers at MCCS made an impact on your life?
“The teachers at Mount Calvary have helped me with hard work, dedication, and time management. They have also helped me with my social skills and where I am going regarding my career options.”
What has God been teaching you lately?
“What God has been teaching me throughout my high school career is the value of love and loving others. You can see that in 1 Corinthians 13 on how to love and love others.”
Do you have any advice for younger students?
“Advice I have for younger students is to get ahead of any work that is given to them, do the best they can and try to not struggle with their work by staying on top of it. I would also advise younger students to try as many things as they can throughout their high school career – to try new things and do it with a good attitude.”
What is one of your favorite high school memories?
“One of my favorite school memories from Mount Calvary involves basketball, when we went to a state game during my sophomore year, and we won on my birthday, and it was a great win against a really tough team we didn’t think we were going to win against.”
Any closing thoughts?
“I’ve been at Mount Calvary for 13 years, and what I’ve loved most about it is the community aspect and the encouragement I see towards me and so many other people through the church, school, and through sports.
I love the encouragement that is given through my community that loves me and that I really love back.”
