Congratulations, Nate! We enjoyed sitting down with you and walking through some of your journey at MCCS. Read Nate’s interview below.
What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation, I plan to take a gap year and explore the possibility of a trade and a four-year college to pursue technology.“
What sports, clubs, or activities have you been involved in? Any awards or special recognitions?
“While at Mount Calvary, I’ve been involved in track and field and soccer and have served on student council. I’m also a worship team committee member.”
What classes have helped you in your career objective?
“A class that has helped me toward my goal has been my technology internship with Mr. Pruner. I’m also privileged to serve on the school’s tech team.”
How have the teachers at MCCS made an impact on your life?
”During my internship, Mr. Pruner has given me the opportunity to be hands-on with learning technology things in the classroom and fixing issues. Mr. Huacani, who is our tech team teacher, has started to integrate cameras and has also let us run sound and lights for the plays and musicals.”
What has God been teaching you lately?
“Something God has been teaching me is to slow down and enjoy what I’m doing in the moment. An example of this would be taking the time to make worship nights more memorable and meaningful for the student body.”
What special or unique opportunities has MCCS given you?
“An opportunity I had while at MCCS was last year when the tech team took a field trip to Lancaster Bible College, where we learned about the media and digital arts classes and got to run a live broadcast with a simulator.”
What is something you will miss about MCCS?
“My favorite memory is when I made the finals in the 100 meter dash during the CCAC track meet.”
