Senior Ella Webb Receives Student of the Month Award for February

Each month, we recognize a senior who is nominated by MCCS faculty and staff based on spiritual leadership, character, academic achievement or improvement, perseverance through trials, and other aspects of a student’s life and academic career.

Ella Webb was recognized as the Student of the Month for January! Check out her interview below. Congratulations, Ella!

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan on going to Cedarville University and studying exercise science.”

What sports, clubs, or activities have you been involved in? Any awards or special recognitions?

“Throughout my time at Mount Calvary, I have played soccer all four years. I’m also a part of National Honor Society, and I’m the president of Student Council. I have been recognized as first team for All-Conference during all four years, and I’ve also scored 100 career goals.”

How have the teachers at MCCS made an impact on your life?

“My teachers have made an impact on me both spiritually and academically. They’re always willing to talk or listen to anything, and they also always show me God’s love and show me an example of what being a Christ follower looks like. Mrs. Aument, specifically, has done a great job at showing me what it looks like to be a leader and follower of Christ.”

What has God been teaching you lately?

“Throughout my years at Mount Calvary, God has taught me the theme of trusting Him and trusting His timing and not trying to rush things for myself but just relying on Him and knowing that His plan is best for me.”

What is something you will miss about MCCS?

I will miss all of the teachers and staff who have always encouraged me and been such great role models for me. I will also miss the soccer team and playing with them.”

Do you have any advice for younger students?

“Advice that I would give to younger students is to make sure that you’re surrounding yourself with friends who are encouraging and are good role models to you and are helping you grow in your faith. I would also say that it’s important to be type of friend, available to people, so that you can be encouraging and show them love and help them with whatever they need.”

Any closing thoughts?

“I’d like to thank my parents for always pushing me to work hard and always encouraging me and helping me grow so much. I’d also like to thank all of my teachers who also encouraged me to work hard and helped me grow.”
