Seeing God Through His Creation: 6th Grade Retreat

This fall, our 6th grade students spent several days at Black Rock Retreat for a spiritually-focused outdoor educational retreat. Students engaged in Bible study and team building activities, and explored God’s creation through a creek study, owl pellet dissection, an ecology lesson, and a survivor game.

Here’s what a few of our students had to say about their time at Black Rock…

“Black Rock was an amazing experience. In only three short days, I learned so much about God. I heard the story of Jonah so many times, but I learned so much more about God’s amazing grace and love for Jonah and Nineveh.

The games were so much fun, and yet I learned even more about God through them. Black Rock was amazing, and I loved it.”

“I really enjoyed going to Black Rock. The food was very good! The cabins were super nice and comfortable. We played really fun games. It was a great opportunity.”

-Noah S.

“I loved Black Rock. The cabins were nice. The staff was really nice. The food was good. I liked the games. I wish we could stay longer. I hope we can do that again.”
