Mount Calvary Baseball Players Earn All-State Honors

In May, Chargers Baseball celebrated an incredible end to their season by taking home the CCAC Banner against High Point Academy and being named state qualifiers.

However, there are more accolades for Chargers Baseball. A June article in the Lancaster County Newspaper highlighted the eight area players were voted to the Pennsylvania State Baseball Coaches Association All-State teams, including five first-team selections; two of whom were Mount Calvary seniors, David Zamora and Benjamin Gerlach.

Zamora and Gerlach helped Mount Calvary Christian win the D3 championship. Zamora went 6-1 with a 1.22 ERA. He threw a no-hitter in the win over Lancaster County Christian School in the district final, striking out 14. Gerlach hit .566 with one home run, 23 runs, 24 RBIs and a 1.539 OPS.

Congratulations on these deserving nominations, David and Ben!
