Each month, we recognize a senior who is nominated by MCCS faculty and staff based on spiritual leadership, character, academic achievement or improvement, perseverance through trials, and other aspects of a student’s life and academic career.
Isaac Hilsher received the Student of the Month award for January. Read his interview below. Congratulations, Isaac!
What are your plans after graduation?
“I’m planning to attend Word of Life Bible Institute for 2 years and then maybe go into a trade afterwards.”
What classes have helped you toward your potential career goal?
“I would say that Bible and Math have definitely affected my career and college choice.”
What sports, clubs, or activities have you been involved in? Any awards or special recognitions?
“I’ve participated in soccer all four years of high school, as well as National Honor Society and Student Council.”
How have the teachers at MCCS made an impact on your life?
“I would say that Mr. Owlett, Mrs. Aument, and Mrs. Risser have all impacted me and encouraged me to grow spiritually and keep a good attitude throughout school.”
What has God been teaching you?
“Recently, I feel that God is teaching me to be patient and trust His plan for everything in my life.”
Do you have any advice for younger students?
“The advice I have for students at Mount Calvary is to stay faithful to God because He will help you throughout your future and throughout school.”
