Campus Expansion

Tour West Campus

Monday, January 30 from 3:30-6:15 PM

MCCS Families! We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you and your family to visit the newly acquired West Campus of Mount Calvary Christian School, formerly Mill Road Elementary School. We are opening the property to our current families for tours on Monday, January 30 from 3:30-6:15 PM. This is a family-friendly event, so bring your entire family along to visit!

To sign up for this drop-in event, please register for an arrival time.

Consider how you might help us partner in God’s faithfulness as we raise funds to move into our West Campus in Fall 2023!

Partnering with parents, Mount Calvary Christian School nurtures and guides students, helping to develop their God-given abilities and challenge their academic potential. Our K-12 church-based school is a close community of believers — pursuing Christ and preparing students, together.

Job Opportunities

MCCS will open this campus in the fall of 2023, welcoming grades 2-5. Operational planning is well underway and will continue over the coming months. As we evaluate our needs for the new year, we will post open employment opportunities.

The Story Behind West Campus

THE NEED

We thank God for the tremendous growth we have seen at Mount Calvary Christian School, knowing He is at work. MCCS has experienced steady growth, and now has more than 670 students enrolled, along with 75 faculty and staff members. For the 2022-2023 school year, we welcomed 125 new students and 64 new families.

This need for additional space prompted the leadership of Mount Calvary to research and pray about expanding our campus. In April 2022, the elders unanimously agreed to pursue the possibility of purchasing Mill Road Elementary School here in Elizabethtown.

Our Response

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, Mount Calvary purchased Mill Road Elementary at auction and were able to do so within the church-approved budget constraints. We praise God for His faithful provision throughout the history of Mount Calvary Church and continue to trust Him to provide the funds we need for the Mill Road project.

The work has just begun! There is fundraising to do, and there are improvements that need to be completed at Mill Road before opening. However, due to the near readiness of the building and the proximity to our campus, we will be able to accommodate students for the 2023-2024 school year.

An Invitation

We are inviting individuals and businesses to pledge and provide support for this project. We will also include special projects and pursue grant funding to reach our goal of $4 million.

Having committed partners is vital as we move forward with this purchase and look forward to beginning building improvements at West Campus.

How YOU Can Help

Pray with us

  1. Students – pray for those who will transition to a new building and those God is bringing to MCCS for the very first time.

  2. Teachers & Staffing – pray that God would prepare the teachers who are relocating to the West Campus and those who will be hired to fill new roles needed at the school.

  3. Renovations – pray for all the work that needs to be done at the building – for efficiency and teamwork.

  4. MC Leadership – pray for wisdom and unity for our trustees as they make decisions regarding MCCS’s new West Campus.

Volunteer your time and talents

There will be ample opportunities for school families to help with cleaning, painting, and preparing the school to open this fall.

Give of your financial resources

We need individuals, families, and businesses to help pay off the loan and outfit the building with the technology and safety infrastructure needed to serve students, along with necessary furniture items and school supplies.

Mount Calvary Christian School partners with families to provide a quality education and encourage students to grow into faithful and mature followers of Christ.
