"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -John 8:12
This year, 11th and 12th grade students in our high school Advanced Art class took on a special Christmas assignment with the objective being “to learn how to paint glowing light with acrylics and incorporate their interpretation of a glowing light source into an acrylic painting project with the prompt: Jesus, Light of the World.”
Students began by following a video tutorial and practiced learning how to paint glowing light. They then started to plan out their canvases.
Each student explains their piece and interpretation below and how it relates to Jesus being the Light of the World.
May you be blessed and encouraged by these pieces created by our students.
