Thank you for all who supported MCCS during our Charger Giving events throughout February and March. Together, our Charger Giving Read-a-Thon and Charger Giving Day events raised $65,016.96!
This year, we asked teachers from our three buildings to brainstorm and select projects they believe can best benefit our student body. Project suggestions were given and our principals worked with their buildings to make final selections. The funds raised during this year’s events will go toward the following projects:
MCCS Church Building: Student seating and recess equipment enhancements. Teachers have requested classroom tables and chairs to replace older styles. This furniture will be conducive to small group learning and developmentally and appropriately sized for students.
West Campus: Playground shade sails and wireless microphones. During the fall and spring, West Campus students lack shaded areas while at recess. Shade sails will give students some relief from the sun during those warm days. Wireless microphones will be used in the “Champatorium” to help students better hear speakers and free up hands to do demonstrations or motions while leading chapel services.
Family Life Center (MS/HS): New desks and chairs. Currently many of the MS/HS classrooms have one-piece desks and chairs that are not conducive for group work. This limits a teacher’s ability to create seating arrangements with flexibility.
We’re so grateful to all who gave to make this possible!
