Earlier this spring, we brought the entire Mount Calvary community together to Charge Forward and raise $75,000 for key improvement projects at both of our campuses. This year’s Charger Giving event combined our elementary Charger Giving Read-a-Thon and our schoolwide Charger Giving Day.
Our elementary students read voraciously and raised funds for three weeks, earning a variety of special prizes during this year’s Dinosaur Days read-a-thon. One 4th grade student raised more than $1,000! Spirit Days also brought an added element of joy and laughter to our campuses (picture Mrs. Garcia reading to her students at lunchtime but in a full tyrannosaurus rex costume)!
Charger Giving Day, our 24-hour giving marathon brought another burst of energy and excitement to both campuses, with giveaways, fun surprises, Champ appearances, and student updates on our giving total.
