At Mount Calvary Christian School, we believe all that is done in life should be pleasing to God, including the way in which we perform in athletics.
Coaches at MCCS not only teach valuable skills needed to excel in sports but also help students learn how to deal with winning, losing, and the pressure of athletics in a way that is pleasing to God. We believe the team is more important than one individual.
Sports at MCCS place Christ first and emphasize the importance of our attitudes and actions as we play and interact on the fields and courts. At MCCS, we are pursuing Christ in athletics.

Facilities

Charger Field
Charger Field is home to Mount Calvary Christian School soccer matches and Mount Calvary Church Upward Football. Student-athletes look forward to playing night matches at home under the lights. An underground irrigation system provides student-athletes with a safe and highly competitive playing surface. A 12×6 scoreboard update with an arched “Mount Calvary” sign was added in 2018.

Charger Gymnasium
Charger Gymnasium is the home of all MCCS indoor contests. The 9,000 sq. ft. gymnasium was constructed as part of the Family Life Center Project in 1998. The facility hosts a variety of events throughout the year including: Upward Celebrations, Club Sports teams, Sportsman's Banquets, the MCCS Annual Auction, Fine Arts Events and indoor practices for MCCS athletics. A large mural of a Charger bursting through the wall is located on the Southern wall. The gymnasium floor was refinished and repainted in the summer of 2016 through the generosity of the MCCS community. The project included lightening the color of the floor, repainting all game lines, and incorporating the school’s interlocking MC design on center court.

Charger Weight Room
Relocated to a new, on-campus facility in 2019, the school weight room is an added improvement to Mount Calvary’s Athletic and Health program. Students follow an athlete-specific workout plan that is monitored by coaches and athletic personnel.
The program is a fully integrated elective in the physical education program for students in grades 7-12.
