Our Motto:
Pursuing Christ. Preparing Students.
Our Mission:
MCCS exists to partner with families to provide a quality education and encourage students to grow into faithful and mature followers of Christ.
Our Vision:
Develop students who love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength; prepared to overcome the challenges of the culture with humility, boldness and spirit-filled joy while fulfilling the Great Commission.
Purpose and Philosophy:
Mount Calvary Christian School partners with families to fulfill their biblical responsibility to “train up a child,” helping them become sanctified and set apart believers. As a church-based educational institution, we teach students to know and apply biblical principles and test every situation against scripture in order to function as confident and mature Christians in today’s society.
Graduate Goals:
Upon graduation, MCCS Students will be:
Equipped for Service and Every Good Work
Passionately Pursuing Christ
Defenders of the Faith
Faithful Stewards
Critical and Discerning Thinkers
History:
Mount Calvary Christian School was started on September 7, 1976 in the Mount Calvary Church building with 100 students in grades K-6th. Since that time, two additional buildings have been added with numerous programs. In 2005, the school received its Accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association of Colleges.
MCCS has experienced steady growth, and now has more than 670 students enrolled, along with 75 faculty and staff members. For the 2022-2023 school year, we welcomed 125 new students and 64 new families.
After research and prayerful consideration, on November 9, 2022, MCCS purchased a nearby elementary school that had closed in May of 2022. This new campus will help us expand and bring more students to Mount Calvary beginning in fall of 2023. We will welcome 2nd-5th grades at this location that is less than one mile from our main campus.
