New Teachers at MCCS

We would like to welcome our new staff to MCCS. Below are a few bios and pictures to give you a snapshot of new faces here on campus.

Allie Schellin has been working in a Maryland public school as a Special Education Pre-K teacher for three years and will be joining us to teach 5th grade. She is a graduate of Grove City College and holds Pennsylvania and Maryland Teacher certifications.

Josiah Jones is a graduate of Mount Calvary Christian School (2007) and Liberty University, where he graduated with a BS in Health and Physical Education. He will be teaching PE and comes to us after several years in a mission school in a Ghana, West Africa. He holds a PA Instructional certification and has worked several years in the trades.

Kate Aument holds a Masters of Education degree from Cabrini College, a Bachelor of Science in Education from Millersville University, and a PA instructional certification. Most recently, she taught History and Law at Milton Hershey School. We are excited that she is joining our Learning Support Team!

Joshua Brussel will be our new Middle School Bible Teacher. Joshua was a raised in Holland in a missionary family and came to the USA to study at Lancaster Bible College, where he graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministries. He was most recently the Family Ministry Director at Grace Church in Willow Valley.

Kristen Groff was a long term substitute in 5th grade last year. We have hired her to teach second grade. She holds a BS in Education from Lancaster Bible College, a PA Instructional certificate, and an ACSI standard certification for K-8th.

Heidi Kirsch is our new K5 Aide. She has worked for ten years as a stay-at-home mom, while also nannying for her two nephews. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Graphic Design and is an avid runner and a former “couch to 5k” running coach.
