Mount Calvary Christian School
J-TERM
The 2010-2011 School Year marked the second year that Mount Calvary Christian School offered a J-term program. This program is designed to give 7th-12th grade students the opportunity to try subjects they cannot normally fit into their schedule. J-term also includes opportunities for going on exciting trips and learning new skills.
J-term runs for two weeks immediately following December’s winter break. Here are just a few of the courses students experienced this year: Women of the Bible, Creative Journaling, New Testament Greek, Personal Finance, Shakespeare – Up Close and Personal. 2010-2011 also marked the first time students could participate in a cross-cultural missions trip during J-Term. Nine students, led by the school’s Director of Spiritual Life, traveled to Recife, Brazil, and conducted two weeks of summer camp for students.
