FINE ARTS PROGRAM
|
Music,
drama and visual arts are an integral part of our program at MCCS. High
school students are required to take a minimum of 2 years in a fine arts
course. Academic courses offered include several art courses, middle
school choir, high school choir, band and hand bells. Extra-curricular
offerings include Praise team, drama team, and Halal vocal ensemble.
Middle and high school students perform in the winter and spring programs,
at local churches and other performance opportunities.
Under the instruction of experienced faculty,
MCCS students are challenged to strive for excellence for God's glory in
fine arts. Middle school students receive compulsory education in art
and either music appreciation or performance. All elementary students
participate in music and art education and perform in our winter and
spring music programs on stage at the Family Life Center.
Our dedication to the arts is evident in the
Fine Arts Suite which provides music practice rooms and separate
classrooms for choir, band, hand bells and art. Our gymnasium offers a
state-of-the art sound system and professional stage for our drama and
music performances.
