Molding Children for Christ's Service

Mount Calvary Chapel Program

Weekly chapel programs reinforce the strong spiritual emphasis at Mount Calvary Christian School. Our chapel programs provide a focused time of music, worship, and strong Biblical preaching.

Elementary chapel is a fun and meaningful time for our students. These weekly gatherings provide faculty and administration an opportunity to recognize outstanding achievement in conduct and academics as "Thumbs Up" awards are given out at the beginning of chapel. Action and worship songs get the children involved in praising the Lord. Challenging messages are brought by local pastors, missionaries, and children's workers. Our 5-year-old Kindergarten through 2nd grade classes have chapel together on Wednesday mornings. Third through fifth grades have their chapel program at the end of the day on Wednesday.

Middle and high school chapel begins each Thursday morning with a student-led praise team directing worship. Students enjoy singing a mixture of contemporary and gospel favorites as their classmates begin the weekly chapel service. Messages are brought by outstanding youth speakers, Christian college representatives, local pastors, and youth pastors throughout the year. World missions is emphasized as missionaries from all parts of the world share their experiences and challenge students to obey God's command to "preach the Gospel to the uttermost part of the earth."

We rejoice as students get things right with God in response to the worship and preaching at our chapel services. Over the years many students have made decisions to accept Christ as Savior and have committed their lives to full time Christian service in response to God's work through a speaker or a chapel service.
